Next Absolute beginners course starts Sunday April 22
Our next course is just 6 weeks long. It starts on April 22 and runs through to the end of May, ending just before the Diamond Jubilee weekend. The course costs £10 per week or £50 if you pay in advance, saving you £10.
The content of both beginners and intermediate courses are on the “When, where, what?” page, but the structure of each afternoon is: Beginners course from 2.30 to 3.30.
From 3.30-4.00 there will be a guided practica, which gives everyone the chance to dance and to put what they have learned into practice. The guided practica is an integral part of the Buenos Aires way of learning tango and we hope everyone takes advantage of it.
From 4.00pm to 5.30pm there will be a workshop for improvers & intermediates. The price is the same whether you do the beginners class or stay all afternoon: if Andrew thinks beginners will benefit from the improver class, he will encourage you to stay for it.
We will end the course with a social evening and dance at la Tasca, the restaurant and tapas bar in Xscape, on may 27th. We will have a better layout than last time, with a bigger dancefloor.
As always,this “mini milonga” is FREE to everyone who does the class at Shenley beforehand. It is a great opportunity to dance to real tango music,and for beginners to practice in a fun, supportive atmosphere. We will also be going to London milonga at Carablanca on May 25th, when Andrew and Carole will be teaching there.
